CARAVELA – Associação para a Cidadania Europeia
ACCREDITATION – ERASMUS+ KA151 – 2025 – Professional Development Activities
“Discovering Europe Through Active Youth Citizenship – 2025”
from 20 May to 25 May 2026
Organized by CARAVELA – Association for European Citizenship, the initiative brought together 13 participants from Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, North Macedonia, and Portugal.
The Erasmus+ training course “Discovering Europe through Active Youth Citizenship – 2025” took place in Hungary from May 20 to 25, 2026, in Tar, Budapest, Pásztó, and Hollókő.
This ERASMUS+ KA151 ACCREDITATION project aims to reach the accreditation’s target group – namely, youth workers with fewer opportunities living in rural areas – by encouraging their participation and involvement in the European project.
Program Activities
The mobility project included professional development sessions on “organizing Erasmus+ youth initiatives,” “workshops on eco-friendly tools for youth work and sharing future perspectives,” and an “EU Discovery Seminar.” Participants also contributed to the “Guide to Best Practices for Socio-Educational Facilitators.” The project also organized several cultural visits, such as a visit to the Hungarian Parliament, and cultural exchanges in Tar, Pásztó, Hollókő, and Budapest.
Impact
This project aims to address the needs identified during the accreditation process and by the partners in the project consortium, which are directly related to young people’s apathy toward European issues, as well as the lack of active European citizenship among young people in general, with a focus on those with fewer opportunities.
