\"\"<\/a>\u201cSunshine of a New European Future\u201d is the title of a Town Twinning project <\/span>promoted<\/span> by<\/span> Scalett<\/span>a<\/span> Zanclea<\/span> Municipality,<\/span> built<\/span> in<\/span> partnership<\/span> with<\/span> dif<\/span>ferent <\/span>European countries, it will involve local public body from Italy, Spain, Slovakia, <\/span>Poland, Portugal and Hungary, with the purpose to strength the sense of belonging to <\/span>Europe and multicultural dia<\/span>logue.<\/span>
This meeting<\/span> was<\/span> focused on the promotion of a<\/span>ctive European Citizenship themes <\/span>like awareness among citizens, particularly young people, about the future of Europe <\/span>and the perceptions that and citizens face about the challenges the EU is facing.<\/span>
T<\/span>he project<\/span> was<\/span> held in Scaletta Zanclea (Italy) f<\/span>rom the<\/span> 14<\/span> to 1<\/span>9<\/span> March<\/span> 202<\/span>2<\/span>. <\/span>The activities<\/span> was<\/span> highly participated and interactive with the citizens involved, with <\/span>the organization of meetings, discussions and debates, presentation, workshops, <\/span>seminaries, round table, Working Group, Brainstorming,<\/span> exchanges of best<\/span> practices <\/span>and other activities in order to develop an active citizenship and to foster interactions<\/span>
between the youngsters involved.<\/span>
The project<\/span> was<\/span> addressed through a methodolo<\/span>gy in which citizens and CSOs<\/span> were <\/span>the real actors of<\/span> the project with their opinions, experiences and point of view.<\/span> In <\/span>this way Europe has become a more tangible and v<\/span>isible reality. Through these <\/span>activities, a contribution could be made to the implementation of the EU’s Agenda for <\/span>the Future.<\/span>
Practical workshops<\/span> we<\/span>re<\/span> led to exchange knowledge and experiences about the <\/span>awareness of the Future of Europe and their perception of the challenges that the EU <\/span>is called to face.<\/span>
The future of Europeans depends on the direct involvement of citizens,<\/span> whose <\/span>aspirations<\/span> are<\/span> necessarily<\/span> projected<\/span> into<\/span> the<\/span> future.<\/span> Following<\/span> the<\/span> European <\/span>Commission<\/span> priorities,<\/span> the project want<\/span>ed<\/span> to give the opportunity to develop their <\/span>sense of European citizenship with the involvement<\/span> of 180<\/span> direct and about 140 <\/span>indirect pa<\/span>rticipants.<\/span><\/p>\n
